nightmares made of?

I have trouble sleeping sometimes. I suffer from OSA - obstructive sleep apnoea, where my throat muscles relax too much when i go to sleep. Mostly it just causes snoring, but its not unheard of when OSA can cause asphyxiation. The body reacts by pumping adrenaline to wake the person up. OSA patients can get these wake ups more than a hundred times an hour - and some don't wake up at all.

Aside from that I get really vivid, interactive dreams. Sometimes they become recurring, often I can't wake from them until the truly freaky parts pass. One friend suggested it might be caused by my body cooling too fast due to sweat from the adrenaline.

Maybe I just need to get the surgery. Maybe i just need to relax and sleep more regularly. Maybe i need to eat healthier.
